Why I Took a Detour From Investing, and Started Helping

After watching families lose homes unnecessarily, I chose to pause and take a different path.

My journey into surplus and overage funds didn’t begin as a business idea.

It began with a goal I’m sure many people can relate to.  I wanted to become a real estate investor.

I spent months studying tax deed auctions, analyzing numbers, and watching how the process worked.

I wanted to understand it inside and out before ever placing a bid. But the more I watched, the more something didn’t sit right with me.

At auction, investors often bid far more than the taxes owed — sometimes tens of thousands of dollars more. That extra money, known as surplus or excess proceeds, does not go to the county. By law, it belongs to the former property owner or their heirs.

What troubled me most was realizing how often those funds went unclaimed.

I saw the same families lose properties over relatively small tax balances, completely unaware that money was sitting in a county or court account — money that could have paid those taxes or helped them recover financially afterward.

That was the moment things changed for me. I realized I didn’t want to be just another investor waiting for a family to lose their home.

I wanted to be the person who told them the money was there.

I believe a home is more than a piece of property — it’s stability, dignity, and a foundation for the future.
When people lose a home, the loss is rarely just financial. If recovering surplus funds can help someone regain stability, relocate, or even take a step toward homeownership again, then that matters to me.
Helping people access money that already belongs to them is not just about recovery — it’s about creating options.

That is why I created this service. The process to claim these funds is often buried in bureaucracy, difficult to navigate, and time-sensitive. My goal is to handle that burden for you, ensuring you receive the funds that are rightfully yours.

We are not lawyers.

We are researchers and advocates who focus on three things:

  1. Identification – Finding individuals who are owed surplus funds

  2. Education – Clearly explaining where the money is and how the process works

  3. Recovery – Navigating the county paperwork and deadlines to help ensure those funds don’t go unclaimed or revert to the State

Why You May Be Hearing From Us
If you happen to receive an email, text message, or voicemail from me (or from our team), it’s simply because our research indicates that surplus funds may be available to you.
Our goal is not to pressure you or sell you anything — it’s to make you aware of funds that already belong to you and explain what options may exist to recover them.
If you’re cautious or unsure, that’s completely understandable. This page is here to provide context and transparency before you decide whether you’d like to take the next step.
